Olvera Hair Elixir

A rosemary, peppermint and clove mist for the scalp. Seven ingredients, and the list is on the bottle.

OLVERA Hair Elixir, a 4 fl oz amber glass spray bottle
Fresh · All Natural · Made by Hand

There's no factory behind this. No production line, no contract manufacturer, no pallet of it aging in a warehouse.

Rosemary and cloves are simmered on a stove, poured into amber glass by hand, and dated the same day.

The Whole
Formula

Read the back of a drugstore bottle and you'll find thirty ingredients you can't pronounce. Here is all seven of ours, in order, with what each one is doing in the bottle.

I Distilled WaterAqua · base Distilled, not tap. Nothing dissolved in it that we didn't put there.
II Witch HazelHamamelis · astringent Balances oil at the root and keeps the batch stable without a synthetic preservative system.
III Vegetable GlycerinHumectant Draws moisture out of the air and into the hair. This is where the softness comes from.
IV Jojoba OilSimmondsia · conditioner Closest thing in nature to the oil your scalp already makes, so it absorbs instead of sitting on top.
V Rosemary LeafRosmarinus · steeped Steeped as a tea, never bought as an extract. The oldest ingredient in the bottle and the reason for it.
VI Clove BudSyzygium · steeped Simmered with the rosemary. Eugenol keeps the scalp clean and the batch honest.
VII Peppermint OilMentha · essential The cool you feel ten seconds after you spray. Added last, off the heat, so it survives.
Not in it — Sulfates · Parabens · Silicones · Synthetic fragrance · Dyes · Alcohol denat.

What it's for

A daily mist for the scalp and lengths. Light enough that it disappears into the hair instead of sitting on it.

A clean scalp

Clove and witch hazel work on the skin under the hair — the part most products ignore entirely. Less flaking, less itch, a better place for hair to grow out of.

Body at the root

Peppermint brings that cooling lift within seconds. Customers keep describing the result the same way, unprompted: their hair feels fuller.

Softness without weight

Glycerin and jojoba condition at a strength that hair can actually carry. No film, no grease, no needing to wash it back out.

The Ritual

Thirty seconds, once a day. Morning on dry hair or evening on damp — whichever you'll actually remember to do.

Shake

There is no synthetic solubilizer holding this together, so the oils separate between uses. That separation is the proof. Ten seconds, firmly.

II

Spray

Six to eight mists straight at the scalp, parting the hair to reach it. You want the skin, not the strands.

III

Work it in

Fingertips, small circles, about a minute. Leave it in — no rinsing. The cooling arrives right about now.

In Their Words

What people said without being asked, after the first bottles went out.

My hair feels fuller and smells amazing.

Two people, two bottles, unprompted. We’d rather show you what was actually said than fill this page with paragraphs nobody wrote.

Made by Hand,
in Dallas

OLVERA started in a kitchen with a pot of rosemary and cloves on the stove, because the alternative was paying forty dollars for a bottle that was mostly water and words.

The process hasn't changed since. The rosemary and clove are simmered and strained. The tea cools all the way down before the witch hazel goes in, so nothing that matters gets boiled off. Glycerin, jojoba and peppermint go in last. Then it's poured, labeled, dated, and it goes out the door.

Four bottles the first time. It sells out and gets made again — that's the whole business model, and it's the reason nothing here has ever sat in a warehouse.

Questions

Yes. It's water-based and light, so it behaves the same on straight, wavy, curly and coily hair — it goes on the scalp, not the strands. It won't weigh hair down or leave a film, and it works the same for men and women.

Because there's no synthetic solubilizer in it forcing the oil and water to stay mixed. Shaking is the trade-off for a shorter ingredient list. If it never separated, something would be in there holding it together.

About six weeks at six to eight sprays a day. Best used within 90 days of the pour date printed on the label, since there's no synthetic preservative system extending it artificially.

It smells like rosemary and peppermint, because that's what's in it. It's noticeable when you spray and settles within a few minutes. No synthetic fragrance, which means no perfume smell layered on top.

Email us within 30 days and you get your money back. Keep the bottle — shipping it back costs more than it's worth, and we'd rather you just tell us what didn't work.

There are no sulfates, no denatured alcohol and no dyes in it, which are the usual culprits for stripping color. As with anything new, spray a small section first and give it a day.

Orders go out within two business days if the current batch is in stock. If the batch has sold out, the next one takes about a week — you'll get an email either way, with the actual date.
